Title:
William Brown House Wine and Beer Dinner Series
When:
September 27, 2012  07:00 PM
Where:
Historic London Town and Gardens - Edgewater

Description

Following from the success of last winter's sold out William Brown House Dinners, we are starting back again in September with a fall and a winter series - 6 total and all on Thursday evenings. Opening with a regional mix of vineyards and breweries from Maryland, Delaware and Virginia, September 27th will bring us Black Ankle Vineyard, from Mount Airy, Maryland. October 18th will feature Fordham and Old Dominion Craft Beers from Coastal Brewery in Delaware and Chrysalis Vineyard of Middleburg, Virginia on November 15th will highlight the "Norton", a true American grape.

Taking December off, January, February, and March will bring us wines from Italy, Spain and Portugal, and South America. Julie St. Marie, one of our magnificent caterers and a generous corporate friend of London Town will be our chef throughout the series creating mouth-watering pairings for each dinner inside the William Brown House, our National Historic Landmark. Seating is limited to 30 guests and will fill up quickly.

Black Ankle Vineyard is fast becoming the jewel of Maryland wines. On our visit to their winery, we met the wine makers and saw the heavy grapes ripe for the picking. A true estate winery in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, it took our breath away. We are thrilled to have them open our season, and will be more thrilled to have you join us.

"Striving toward organic and biodynamic viticulture, Ed Boyce and Sarah O'Herron at Black Ankle have completely shattered what I thought was possible in Maryland"
